1966: Foundation
Engineer Wolfgang Feig founded FEIG ELECTRONIC GmbH in 1966. The first premises were a simple engineering office on a street called Über dem Hainburg in Weilburg, central Germany.
1974: First production facility
After the first few years, which were largely characterized by product development and conception, the decision was made to carry out series production on site. An old barn was renovated and equipped with machines and workplaces.
1975: A new headquarters
The following year, a new property was built on Lange Straße in Weilburg-Waldhausen. It is still FEIG’s headquarters today. This building now also houses some of the production facilities.
1990 – 1994: Expansion
Business thrived and all signs pointed to growth. The number of employees increased every year. Another new building, Haus B, was constructed in Weilburg-Waldhausen.
2000: Enlargement of production facilities and warehouse
Haus C, a new building on Industriestraße in Weilburg-Waldhausen, increased the size of the production facilities and warehouse by around 4,000 m2. This also created additional capacity for new product developments.
2011 – Further development on the Industriestraße
New business areas and generally positive developments meant that more space was required. Haus D was constructed to become the third new building on Industriestraße and immediately double production capacity.
2019: FEIG Square
In 2019, FEIG ELECTRONIC employed more than 400 employees and was generating over 60 million Euros every year. FEIG Square, a new modern office complex, was built. Measuring 4,200 m2, it housed management and administrative staff as well as the sales team and parts of the development team.
FEIG Square represents a commitment to the region and demonstrates the importance the company places on development.
